Music is an integral part of the curriculum in Scoil Naomh Fiachra.  Pupils enjoy musical activities in their classes in the strands of performing, listening and responding and composition.  Children benefit from the opportunity to participate in musical performances such as class plays and concerts from an early age.  We have also traditionally entered Irish competitions such as Slógadh and Scór-na-n-Óg with great success. Children in 3rd, 4th and 5th classes sing in our school choir for the sacrament masses.  Performances to date have been excellent.  We are fortunate to have very gifted soloists who sing at our masses in school and in St. Eunan’s Cathedral.  We also have very talented traditional musicians and classical musicians who play a vast array of instruments which enhance all the performances. The three Second Classes worked very hard this year in preparation for their First Confession and Holy Communion.  The school choir also performed at the ceremonies.
